Introduction

Hello, congratulations and a massive thank you for signing up to our amazing Just Walk event on Saturday 12th May 2018. Whether you are joining us to take part in your own unique personal challenge or to raise money for a worthy charity close to your heart we couldn’t be happier to have you on board. You will be joining hundreds of like-minded people on the day, walking across the stunning Sussex countryside and being part of something truly wonderful.

This year, Just Walk is celebrating its twelfth year and who would have thought back in 2007 when we began our first ever Just Walk at Goodwood Racecourse that it would be such a huge success. We are very pleased to say that you, our fabulous supporters and participants have raised well over £1 million from our Just Walk events for a variety of charities since we started. So, if you are raising money for charity, your registration does really contribute to make a big difference.

So, what’s next… this is where you will find all your Event Pack content with lots of information about the event.

It is important that you have a good read through of all the information here, as it should answer any questions you may have, tell you everything you need to know about Just Walk.

We are still working on the specific route details but as we complete them, we will be posting them here for you.

To help you prepare and train for the event (and of course get you a little bit excited) we will be sending you regular newsletters via email leading up to the big day which will include info on training, kit suggestions, fundraising tips and lots more. It’s important to let us know if your email address changes as all information we send out to you for Just Walk is via email and we want to keep you as up-to-date with information as possible.

If you have any questions about the walk or if you need any support or advice, please contact the events team at events@acrossthedivide.com.

We look forward to welcoming you to Goodwood Racecourse on Saturday 12th May.

Best wishes

The Finish Line

As you can imagine, taking part in any walking challenge is a fantastic achievement and as such we encourage as much support and cheering as possible to see our walkers through the home stretch and across the finish line. So, please feel free to stay and support your fellow walkers as well as bringing your own friends and family down to support you, the more the merrier!

There will be a variety of food and drink available to purchase plus some entertainment (to be confirmed) for those waiting for their family and friends. It is a great place to be and such an uplifting experience to see everyone come over the line having successfully completed their challenging walk.

Please note that this is an outline itinerary, distances and timings are subject to change for logistical or safety reasons. If there are any changes, we will update you by email.

Below are some of the websites you can use to help you find accommodation in the Goodwood and Chichester area if you wish to stay close to the venue.

We suggest that if you are taking part in the 60km walk and have travelled a long distance you don’t drive yourself straight away but instead stay overnight and recover.
